Kim Knotts Food Stylist
Food Stylist, Culinary Creative, Table Top Prop Stylist, Hand Talent
Growing up in the desert Southwest, Kim Knotts developed an early love for bold flavors and sun-soaked ingredients — a passion that has carried her across continents and cuisines. After earning her culinary degree from Cook Street School of Culinary Arts in Denver, Kim’s career path read like an adventure novel: professional culinary studies in Northern Italy and Provence, three years living and cooking throughout the Caribbean, including cooking on a 98 foot yacht, and seasons spent in the mountains of Breckenridge, catering to European guests in a private chalet.

Her global culinary background — paired with a Communications degree from Texas — gives Kim a rare blend of creative intuition, cultural perspective, and storytelling ability. She earned a scholarship from Women Chefs and Restaurateurs to attend the Culinary Institute of America’s World of Flavors Conference, where she cooked alongside some of the most respected chefs in the world. Later, she launched her own successful personal chef business, The Saucy Chef, before turning her focus to the visual side of food.
Since 2019, Kim has been an essential member of Hawkins and Co’s styling team, bringing her extraordinary eye for design and composition to hundreds of campaigns. She’s known as the ultimate “Swiss Army knife” on set — the person you can send into any situation, confident she’ll sort it out with professionalism, creativity, and an easygoing spirit that lifts everyone around her. Her versatility extends beyond food: Kim’s passion for design and composition on shoots has also made her a trusted pro for tabletop propping and texture styling on beauty shoots.
In addition to her work in styling, Kim collaborated directly with the lead developer of Denver’s acclaimed Stanley Marketplace to help shape its dynamic food scene, including the recruitment of standout restaurants like Annette. She remains connected to Denver’s culinary community while continuing to travel widely and stay engaged in the world of global food.
Off set, Kim’s passions mirror her creative career — travel, always looking for the next amazing meal, and meaningful connection. She’s a board member of CISV, an international youth travel organization, and serves as an event coordinator for the Lubird’s Light Foundation. Whether she’s planning an event, exploring a new destination, or discovering a new great restaurant, Kim brings the same curiosity, composure, and cool confidence that make her such an asset on every project.
“Beth's team is absolutely INCREDIBLE, and invaluable to our photoshoots. We've worked together for years and whether's it's preparing edible works of art, developing unique recipes or hanging out with us on-set to style, her team is talented, professional and SO much damn fun to be around!! I cannot recommend Hawkins and Co more highly. ◡̈”
